As you engage in “free” networking opportunities, know that you are investing time and energy, so it’s essential to follow-up or plan for “next steps”. Here is my #14. Plan and Engage to Take Massive Action! Networking = Opportunities & Sales! Add the individuals you meet to your contacts, connect on LinkedIn, etc., explore their profiles, “like” their Facebook page, explore their website, sign-up for their newsletter, and send an email or message to continue the conversation and set up a meeting. You don’t know if someone will become your client, power partner, strategic referral partner, raving fan, etc. Networking is not a drive-by activity, so commit to engaging and have FUN!
